Koudekerke
Verteidigungsbereich (VB) Vlissingen, Landfront, Vlissingen 021.

The Verteidigungsbereich Vlissingen had a "Landfront" defence line that was situated from the coast at the village Klein Valkenisse starting with the Wn. Fledermaus and follows a line along Koudekerke towards the canal between Middelburg and Vlissingen near the village Nieuw Abeele. The Landfront went on even at the other side of the canal towards the tank wall at the Welzingepolder at the Westerschelde.

The Landfront was build up with dragon-teeth, antitank ditches, several types of bunkers and small objects with field arrangements as one heavy defence line. Because it's one of the last "more or less complete" major defence lines in Europe, there are actions the get this "Landfront Vlissingen" on a international heritage list.
