Along the coastal road Zanddijk, at the crossing with the Orchis road you can find a parking place and an entrance into the dunes.
Here you can easily see the two big bunkers of the type M219, Stand für 15 cm S.K. C/28 in 15 cm Drh. L.C/34 - Turm mit Muni- Bereitschafs- und Maschinenräume. The guns came originally from the battle ship Gneisenau and only one of those guns was placed, the other one was found on the Marine Artillery Waffenkommando in Den Helder.
Inside one of the bunkers the steel turret where the gun was placed inside so it could turn around is still standing. The bunker is a two storey bunker and has a lot of chambers, holes and corners.
