In the centre of Den Helder, behind the post office at the Middenweg/Boerhavestraat, you can find this German telephone bunker.
Nowadays the bunker is in use as a museum about WWII, it is open on special days. Inside and also outside they have some interesting items to show and very special is the MG position inside the bunker. On the picture sheet you see also some pictures of a so called "KEV-kaste" (KabelEndVerschluss). This German box was the connexion point for telephonelines going in and out the bunker and had to be connected to telephone equipment inside the bunker.
