Den Haag, State of emergency bunker for the The Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water.
(Noodzetel van het Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat)

In the city of The Hague under one of the buildings of The Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water a protected crisis room is located.

I case of a major incident somewhere in the Netherlands, or on the Dutch part of the Noordzee, where the competence, expertise or knowledge is needed, a selected and multi disciplinary team starts-up.
The bunker has two floors -1 and -2 and is about 600 m2 in total. The bunker is built in the seventies, together with the construction of the ministry complex and is restyled in 2002.
The bunker is equipped with a water, electricity and air-system to function for at last 14 days and has a capacity for about 50 persons.
At the entrance you still find the remains of the old decontamination lock with shower and the dump for contaminated clothes. There are a few sleeping rooms, canteen with a kitchen and a resting place for those who are off duty. In the facility there is still the former ICT-room built in a Faraday cage that is not longer in use. The bunker has an emergency exit in the shape of a corridor of 10 + 5 meter in L-shape outside the building. Very remarkable is the fact that the second floor crosses the exit of the first floor. In case of a real evacuation it will by a struggle who will get out first!

Because the location is still in active use, they do trainings once a week, not everything can been told and shown on this website.
