Burgh-Haamstede
Stp.Gr. Schouwen, 4 Komp. "tunnel complex".
West of Burgh-Haamstede, between the Duinwegje and Zandstraat, you can find a big tunnel complex in de the dunes behind the fence. The complex served as a head-quarter, with lots of Vf. shelters, storage rooms, toilets and several Tobruk's. They are connected by concrete corridors. The corridors are relatively strong. Normally they were made out of bricks and concrete. Above the entrances to the shelters there are lots of names written, names of German officers/generals. The corridors were made in two levels, on top of the hill and another one down the hill, they are connected with each other. The original entrances are almost completely filled with sand, but there are still other openings and shafts to enter the corridors.
