Ault, Ornival.

Follow the road from the boulevard at Ault towards Ornival, in the north. You pass several bunkers that belong to Ca 013. Outside the village, after 500m there is the first 'Schnabelstand' on your left. 500m Further down the road is a small unpaved road up the hill towards a farm with a red roof. On top of the hill, near a cows meadow lies a forgotten observation bunker or 'Schnabelstand'.

The bunker is open, but the inside looks rather bad. The view from the observation room is beautiful, overlooking the low-lands north of Ault and the high-ground south of Ault. It probably served as a secondary observation bunker for the two 669 that were supposed to be built at the same Stützpunkt. We didn't find a trace of the two 669 and one 668, so apparently they are gone or they have never been built.
The first 'Schnabelstand' next to the main road is half demolished, but the concrete camouflage looks still very nice.

This location can be found around the lighthouse of Ault, on top of the hill in the middle of the village.

There was some confusion about the state of the bunker. Well the bunker is there we can tell you. It lies absolutely beautifully, overlooking the sea. The big turtle nose and its gigantic appearance make it a beautiful bunker.
Unfortunately the owner doesn't want any visitors on his property, we asked but we were directly pointed our way out….
There is also a Würzburg FuMO 2 Calais radar about 500m meters to the north from the lighthouse. The basement of the radar lies open in a small field. This radar was designed to watch over the sea and all its traffic.

The bunkers are all located along the boulevard and the dike, at the edge of the village.
The bunkers, two times 612, and a rare Pak shelter type Vf.5b, with an emplacement for the gun. In a dike, at the northern end of the village lies a Vf. observation bunker, or a so called 'Schnabelstand'. Note the nice camouflage.

1x Vf5b PAK Anti-tank gun garage bunker, bomb-proof, with emplacement.

In the village, follow the road that leads up the southern slope. Park the car near the 612, with a cross on the roof, and walk further up the hill for the remains that we couldn't identify.
