The battery Kerbonn can be found near the Pointe de Penhir, south/west of the town Camaret sur Mer. Follow the road (D.8) towards the point alongside the road you'll see some menhirs and shortly after that, a museum at your right side. This museum gives you a short impression about the U-boat war on the Atlantic. Nice detail is that the museum is housed in one of the four casemates of the battery, all the other bunkers are scattered around the old French fortress. Most of the bunkers are open.
Again it is a re-used French battery with lots of added St. bunkers; personnel bunkers, a 638 hospital bunker and the four SK casemates. These casemates have an extra room at the back for a small calibre gun, which could protect the backside of the bunker/battery. Walking around and trough the bunkers and the whole battery grounds is very impressive. The battery lies at the edge of the cliffs with a magnificent view.
