Pontaillac, Tamaris.
AOK 1, KVA E1, Gironde Nord, Stab Seekommandant, Gi 23.

This location is next to the Flak battery at the Point du Chay. Follow the coastal road 500m to the north and you will see at the Boulevard de la Cote d' Agent the bunker partly covered.
We didn't have any information that there should be a bunker here, The bunker was closed and covered with earth. There was an observation part visible and you could see the roof of the bunker.
We couldn't take measurements so it was guessing what it could have been. It looked like a M152 command post because the observation part was placed at a certain angle to the bunker and its dimensions could indicate that it is a M152. The bunker is actually overlooking the see so a M152 could have been an option for this location.
But on the other hand we haven't found in any source an indication of such a bunker here and a few km to the north in Saint Palais s/m, there is already a M152 built and still clearly visible, so that is strange.

Types:
1x M152 Navy Command Post.

Pontaillac, Point du Chay.
AOK 1, KVA E1, Gironde Nord, Flak Batt. Oldenburg, Gi 24.

This location is near the centre of Royan, on the old French fortress Fort du Chay.
Follow the road along the coast and near the Novotel Hotel there is a parking place. From here it is 5min walking to the bunkers.

At this location there supposed to be a Flak battery, but we encountered some rare structures;
A single bunker that was closed, but looked like an ammunition/personnel bunker. Next to that bunker a large construction was built. At one side you could see an observation part of the bunker, in the middle of the construction could have been room for two emplacements. But the whole thing was covered with earth and looked strange.
At the backside of the hill we found a fully covered casemate, you could see the Tobruk at his left backside and a flank wall on his right front. The position of the bunker clearly indicates that it is a casemate, but we could not identify it. The width was 11m and the depth was 8m.
